Sara Klatt is a German documentary photographer currently based in Berlin. She studied photojournalism and documentary photography at Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts. During her studies she had several extended stays in Israel and Eastern Europe. 

In her long-term projects she explores the connections between German history and the Israeli present. She focuses on topics such as the diversity of Jewish identity, underrepresented aspects of Israeli society and social change through warlike unrest. She worked for an Israeli press agency in Jerusalem (flash90) and took part in archiving Rudi Weissensteins photographic body of work in Tel Aviv.


Currently she is doing an MA program in Jewish Studies in Potsdam.
